MERIDIAN MUN
Dear Delegates, Executive Board and Friends,
On behalf of Meridian School Madhapur, it is my honour to invite you to the ninth annual Meridian Model United Nations Conference.
​
Through Meridian MUN 2024, our mission is to evolve the idea of Model United Nations conference through innovative means, readying those in attendance for a progressive and inclusive future.
Model UN is more than a simple extracurricular activity. It empowers us, unites us and develops us to overcome our fears and learn vital skills such as diplomacy, speech, critical thinking etc.
Moreover, it is a culture we immerse ourselves in, truly one we must be proud
of and engage with. The secretariat and faculty remain stalwart and vigilant
in our devotion towards the success of the conference and I am honoured to have the opportunity to lead such a hardworking ​team and even more so to have you witness the fruits of our labour.
Our secretariat has selected committee topics for which they believe need addressal and will prove to produce a stimulating topic of discussion.
Our committees this year include, the World Health Organisation, The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, United Nations Human Rights Council, Historic Continuous Crisis Committee, United Nations Security Council, International Atomic Energy Agency, All India Political Parties Meet and United Nations Economic and Social Council.
I’d like to conclude by encouraging those reading to give their best, regardless​ of experience or circumstance and to carry yourselves with passion, commitment and an unyielding mentality.
